A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder a few hours after a victim was found fatally shot in El Cajon Thursday night, sheriff’s officials said.
Hunter White, of El Cajon, was identified as a suspect in the killing of Javier Medina, 27, who was found around 9:55 p.m. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on Bradley Avenue east of state Route 67, Lt. Joseph Jarjura said in a news release.
Medina was taken to a hospital where he died, Jarjura said.
White was located and booked into San Diego Central Jail around 3:30 a.m. Friday on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to commit murder, according to online jail records.
Jarjura did not say how investigators determined White was a suspect or where they located him.
The motivation and circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.
