A 24-year-old man was arrested Friday on suspicion of murder after a victim was found shot in the head in his Ramona apartment last month, sheriff’s officials said.
Sean Hawksworth was identified as a suspect in the slaying of Eduardo Aguilar Alba, 26, who was found Oct. 20 in the apartment on 16th Street near Main Street, Lt. Joseph Jarjura said in a news release.
On Friday, deputies served a warrant at Hawksworth’s Ramona apartment and arrested him, Jarjura said.
He was booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of murder and was being held without bail, according to online jail records.
Aguilar Alba’s brother had called deputies to the victim’s apartment, and they discovered the body upon entering, investigators said.
The motivation and circumstances for the shooting are still unclear. The incident is under investigation.
