Two people were taken in for questioning but no arrests were announced in connection with a 28-year-old man being fatally stabbed in El Cajon on Thursday, police said.
The incident was reported around 6 p.m. on North Mollison and East Madison avenues, about a block away from El Cajon Valley High School, Sgt. Brandon Stanley said in a news release.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the victim, an El Cajon resident, suffering from a life-threatening stab wound, Stanley said.
He was taken to a hospital, where he died. His name was not released Friday.
Investigators said the reporting party and another witness were interviewed at the scene, and two men were taken to the El Cajon Police Department for questioning.
Officials believe there are no outstanding suspects, but they are continuing to investigate the incident, Stanley said.
