Police on Thursday identified a 49-year-old man who was fatally shot inside an Oak Park independent living facility.
The victim was identified as Dennis Robinson of San Diego, according to San Diego police homicide Lt. Lou Maggi.
Robinson was found with a single gunshot wound to his torso around 10:24 p.m. on Dec. 21 at the facility on 54th Street near Redwood Street, police said.
“Officers rendered aid performing CPR on Robinson until medics took over and transported him to a nearby hospital, but he did not survive the injury,” Maggi said.
At least nine people were inside the facility at the time of the shooting, and detectives were continuing to investigate the incident.
