A man was wounded in a shooting Tuesday in an unincorporated area of El Cajon.
The sheriff’s office received multiple calls around 2 p.m. about a shooting on Quail Haven Lane, the department said.
When deputies arrived, they found a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. The victim was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive following emergency surgery.
Detectives had not identified a suspect as of Tuesday night, and the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
