Meg’s Subpeona Orders Harris’ Boyfriend To Be Deposed Before Trial
The rapper reportedly believes that Smith has important information that could help her case against Carl Crawford.
The “H-Town Hottie” accuses 1501 label execs of refusing to produce Smith for a deposition.
Now, she wants them to produce Smith at trial to turn that information over.
Meg claims that 1501 conspired with Harris to create the diss track “Bussin Back.” However, the label categorically denies that claim.
Label Files Motion Denying Meg’s Claim Last Month, Claims Subpoena Is Case Of Mistaken Identity
Meanwhile, 1501 filed a motion denying Megan Thee Stallion’s claims last month.
The motion alleges that Smith is not an employee at the record label, saying instead that he’s an independent contractor. They said he worked with 1501 artists but did not have a deal with the label, Radar Online reports.
However, Crawford says Megan has a case of mistaken identity. He claims she has “Darien Smith” confused with “Darrian Smith, who are two entirely different people, according to Crawford.
“The allegations that 1501 has ‘maliciously collaborated’ in a ‘campaign to disparage [Megan]’ are as ludicrous as [Megan’s] refusal to listen to 1501 when it told her long ago that she was after the wrong Darien Smith,” the label told the outlet.
