Meghan Markle looked beautiful yesterday as she spoke at the Friends @ Home Event during day three of the Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023.
She wore a stunning Banana Republic dress and Aquazzura shoes which were classic Meghan style.
But her hair and makeup was probably the most interesting part of her look.
This is because she didn’t enlist the help of a professional but did them herself.
Aides revealed that the Duchess of Sussex did her own hair and makeup soon after arriving at her Düsseldorf hotel, the Daily Mail reported.
Like a true professional, she got ready for the event in just over an hour.
It was reported that makeup artist Daniel Martin – who did the Duchess’ makeup on her wedding day – was unavailable as he was celebrating his anniversary with husband Randall Stattler in Mexico.
Her go-to hair stylist, George Northwood, may have been working with Alexa Chung at the opening of the Vogue World Newsagents at Selfridges London so was also unavailable.
Meghan’s makeup was absolutely flawless, with a hint of blush, bronzer and highlighter to emphasise her bone structure.
Her pink lipstick provided a pop of colour and her eye makeup was dramatic, with the Duchess boasting enviably fluttery eyelashes.
As for her hair, Meghan wore her dark tresses in loose waves. Princess Kate also debuted a fab new do yesterday, with royal fans calling her new curtain bangs “impeccable” and “hair goals”.
But this wasn’t the first time Meghan stunned in a makeup and a hair look she created herself.
A source told US Weekly: “She just likes doing her own makeup. Meghan has her makeup done for some special occasions but likes to do it herself.”
Meghan’s ensemble was the Pleated MIDI Shirtdress in Black by Banana Republic (for an absolute steal at £56) and the ‘Purist 105’ Black Suede Pumps by Aquazzura.
@isabelq42 said on Instagram: “Love this look from head to toe. She is perfectly dressed for the tone and purpose of the event. The dress is classic in its simplicity. It is incredibly versatile… not to mention the price makes it accessible and affordable. She looks chic with a relaxed elegance.”
