Royal fans are expecting their jaws to drop tomorrow, as Meghan Markle is set to attend a presagious award ceremony and wear a gorgeous gown to the glamorous event.
Meghan is set to receive the Woman of Vision 2023 from famous second-wave feminist Gloria Steinem this Tuesday, which is awarded to women who are “incredible leaders” who have helped advocate for “gender and racial equity across the country and across the world.”
The Duchess will be attending the Ms Foundation gala in New York and will receive the award for “her global advocacy to empower and advocate on behalf of women and girls” according to the organisation.
While fans are celebrating the Duchess’ achievements, many people are excited to see Meghan dress up according to Miranda Holder, a royal fashion expert who said it “definitely feels like far too long” since we have seen Meghan “glammed up to the nines.”
Miranda said: “She was conspicuously absent from the Coronation, which, despite potentially being a triumph for the Royal Family, it definitely left a glamorous, Meghan-shaped fashion hole in the grand proceedings.”

Miranda Holder is an accomplished celebrity stylish who has worked with stars like musician Boy George and actress Vanessa Williams. On social media, Miranda has gained a following by explaining the details behind royal outfits and making predictions on what the royals will wear to grand occasions.
Miranda spoke on Meghan’s recent outfits, and said: “We have been seeing Meghan dressing down a lot recently, from her hiking attire last weekend to neutrals for sushi earlier this week, signifying that the laid-back California cool has crept back into her closet.”
Meghan’s last fashion highlights have been very casual, as during King Charles’ Coronation when the Duchess was spotted hiking in Califonia.
She was seen in a casual look of black leggings, a low-cut vest top, and a waterproof jacket accessorised with a pale pink scarf and sunglasses, but Meghan also showed she was royalty by wearing Princess Diana’s £150,000 ($187,000) Cartier Tank Francaise watch for the hike.
This week, Meghan has been seen in a brown loose and chic mini dress with sandals while dining out at a Michelin-star sushi restaurant with Prince Harry this week, who was seen in white jeans and a black t-shirt.
The Women of Vision event may be the first time in a while we have seen Meghan dressed up for a formal occasion, and Miranda said: “For the Gala tomorrow I’m really hoping the Duchess pulls out all the style stops.”
Miranda has used her expertise as a celebrity stylist to predict what the Duchess of Sussex may wear to the gala.
She said: “I would love to see Meghan in vivid colour. She has what stylists term a ‘Winter’ complexion so the deep, jewel tones as well as black and white hues look fantastic on her.
“I would personally love to see her in vivid cobalt blue, or perhaps regal purple, something really show-stopping.”
As for the dress silhouette, Miranda has said Meghan’s wedding reception gown by Stella McCartney is one of her favourite looks on the Duchess, who she said “looks just fabulous” in a halter neck
Miranda added: “If she’s channeling a halter next dress in a jewel, black or white stunning fabric – she’s scored a big style point for me.”
