Lorraine Schwartz website reads as follows: “Responsible for some of the most iconic jewellery moments of the 21st Century, Lorraine Schwartz is an American high jewellery designer and third-generation diamond dealer whose pieces have adorned some of the world’s most influential individuals – from royalty, to industry icons, and A-list celebrities.”
Steven Stone’s leading diamond expert, Maxwell Stone, exclusively told Express.co.uk: “Created by celebrity jeweller Lorraine Schwartz, Meghan’s pinky ring appears to feature a three carat emerald cut diamond in a solitaire setting.
“Though there have been suggestions that the ring was gifted to Meghan by a mystery donor from the Middle East, its origin has never been confirmed. Thus, the ring has become a source of speculation since Meghan wore it on the cover of Time magazine with Prince Harry in 2021.
“The shape of the diamonds cut represents stability and strength, which is particularly fitting for Meghan who has faced a series of hardships since the couple made the decision to withdraw from the royal family. I’d estimate the ring to be worth $70,000 (£56,000).”
There are currently four collections available on the official website, 2B Happy, Against Evil Eye, Monkey and Graduation.
The most expensive pieces on the luxury website are currently the Lucky Monkey Necklace in Black Gold and Lucky Monkey Necklace in Yellow Gold, retailed at £70,449.68.
Meghan’s stunning pinky finger ring has caused some confusion over the years, with Something About Rocks stating: “There has long been controversy surrounding the origin of the pinky ring, which Meghan previously wore on a September 2021 visit to the One World Observatory.
“That same year, Prince Harry and Meghan denied claims that the ring featured diamonds gifted to the couple by an unknown donor in the Middle East. Indeed, the ring was sourced by a stylist directly from the designer, the couple revealed.
“However, the couple later clarified that they were referring to a different ring, with no further mention of the Lorraine Schwartz ring on her right hand, leaving its origins a mystery.”
Lorraine Schwartz has been enlisted by the royals more than once according to sources.
HELLO! reported that in the royal biography Finding Freedom, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand said: “On May 19, 2019, Harry also surprised his wife of one year with the gift of a ring that he had created with jeweller-to-the-stars Lorraine Schwartz, a favourite of Meghan’s.” Lorraine also may have resized and reset Meghan’s engagement ring with a new diamond band.
Global icons including Beyoncé, Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian and Angelina Jolie have all worn the designer.
