Method Man Appeared As A Recent Guest On ‘The Breakfast Club’
The 52-year-old Wu-Tang Clan rapper and actor recently appeared as a guest on Power 105.1’s ‘The Breakfast Club.’ During his interview, the rapper explained why Redman was recast in the STARZ television series.
“He wouldn’t get the jab…”
The actor explained.
“At least that’s what I heard.”
He then continued.
“Did I talk to Redman about it? No. We close close — s**t like that don’t even need to be said. But it happens. He’s not the first or the last person that will probably happen to…”
The Rapper Shared His Stance On Redman’s Decision
Additionally, the actor and rapper shared his opinion regarding Redman’s decision.
“But just to say that Redman, he made a decision, and I stick by whatever his decision was. If he feels like that was the best decision for him, then I agree with him.”
Social Media Reacts, Applauds The Wu-Tang Rapper For Supporting Redman
Social media users reacted to Method Man’s revelation in The Shade Room’s comment section. Many applauded the actor for supporting Redman’s decision “without judgment.”

However, other Instagram users appeared to condemn Redman for his decision.

Redman Previously Confirmed The Information Method Man Shared
According to UPROXX, Redman confirmed this information during a previous interview with HitStory Makers in 2022.
“I walked away from it because they wanted me to be vaccinated, and I’m not vaccinating s**t.”
The rapper explained, referring to his role in ‘Power Book II: Ghost.’
Previously, Method Man shared his excitement about working alongside Redman during a March 2023 interview with VIBE. The 52-year-old referred to production’s decision to bring Redman onboard as “dope.”
Additionally, he shared that “it’s always dope to work with… someone that your trust.” Even adding that the pair’s on-screen “chemistry” and “synergy” would shine through, in combination with their “professionalism.”
“It’s always dope to work with somebody you’ve worked with over the years, but just not somebody that you’ve always worked with, but someone that you trust… So anytime you put Redman and Method Man on-screen together, not only are you going to get chemistry, you going to get synergy, as well as professionalism.”
Additionally, UPROXX reports that Method Man and Redman have been longtime friends and even teamed up to form the collective Method Man & Redman in 1994. The pair later went on to earn an RIAA: Gold certification for their 1995 single, “How High.”
