A man has been able to save almost £200 on his bills after tracking his finances more efficiently.
Using Nous.co, Alex Handley, 33, was able to discover what areas he could cut back on the most.
Mr Handley said: “Nous has not only helped me save on my monthly bills with up to £100 in rewards due to their app ‘hack’ service but also it has allowed me to track my finances more efficiently too.
“I was paying £230 a month, now I’m paying £45 a month.
“It is a big relief knowing I have finally managed to find a real way to save some money but I have had to reduce my spending on household essentials and cut off streaming services too.
“I would absolutely recommend this service to others as it’s an invaluable resource.”
With energy prices still sky high, and the wait still on to see new cheap fixed deals available to customers, household money-saving tool nous.co has come up with a simple hack that could save families more than £100 on what they pay for energy now.
From July 1, the energy price cap will be set at an annual level of £2,074, however there are ways that Britons can make further savings now.
It works because Nous gives any commissions earned from switching back to customers in the form of monthly rewards.
Nous automatically tracks one’s household providers and services so they never miss a deadline for renewing, switching or saving which can help save them money.
Greg Marsh, founder and CEO of Nous, said: “UK households have been struggling with soaring energy bills over the last couple of years without being able to save at all.
“Wholesale energy costs have plummeted, but these huge decreases aren’t being passed on to consumers.
“We want to make sure everyone pays a fair price for their energy. At the moment, joining Nous. co is the only way to save on your bills.
“We have saved some households more than £300 on their energy, and almost all can save well over £100.”
Customers can access the savings by signing up for a 90-day free trial.
Another Nous customer has also explained how she was able to make huge savings and cut her gas and electric bills in half over the year. Using Nous.co, the 42-year-old was able to see what areas she could cut back which helped her save over £1,000 over the year.
She said: “Previously the cost of living crisis meant the £1,600 debt I had was huge and I was paying £200 a month for gas and electric for a family of two in a two-bedroom house and now the debt is gone. It took me 18 months to pay it off.
“Now I pay £100 a month for my utilities as for cutting back the nous app helped me see how much money I had left after all of my bills had been paid and gave me the opportunity to set goals for myself and my family and help budget for the month.
“This helped me to see what I could cut back on and where I spent my money and helped me prioritise my spending and curb bad habits such as unnecessary takeaways when I had a fridge and freezer full of food and helped me be more mindful to help reduce waste.”
