The Oceanside Police Chief Taurino Valdovinos announced plans to hold four community listening sessions that will allow residents to hear directly from their city’s top law enforcement officer.
Officials said the meetings have been scheduled for the coming weeks, and residents are invited to ask Valdovinos their questions and concerns about policing and public safety.
The first meeting is scheduled to take place at the El Corazon Event Center at 3302 Senior Center Drive at 6 p.m. Feb. 25.
The second is set to take place at 6 p.m. March 6 at the Mira Costa College Community Learning Center, located at 1831 Mission Ave., in community room 127.
Two additional sessions are being planned for Districts 2 and 3, Oceanside police said. The times and locations for those meetings will be announced in the near future.
The meetings are open to all Oceanside residents and business owners, no registration is required and free parking will be available.
