NATIONAL CITY —
A man struck and killed by a vehicle while he was walking in National City last week was identified by investigators on Tuesday.
Randy Lee Gibson, 50, was hit around 5:10 a.m. on Nov. 21 on East Plaza Boulevard just west of Interstate 805, said National City police Sgt. Kenneth Springer.
Officers arrived on the scene and performed first aid and CPR until paramedics arrived. Gibson was taken to a hospital where he died.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the collision and cooperated with police, Springer said.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
