San Diego arson investigators are asking the public to help them locate a woman who set fire to a City Heights gas pump and to items inside a Target store, causing more than $10,000 in damage in late November.
Police said the woman set fire to a gas pump at an am/pm gas station on Home Avenue near Interstate 805 in City Heights on Nov. 22. The fire caused around $10,000 in damage. Later that same day, the woman drove to the Target in Mission Valley and allegedly set fire to items, causing about $750 in damage, police said.
No other incidents have been reported that are linked to the same suspect, said San Diego police Sgt. Rick Pechin, who is on the city’s Metro Arson Strike Team.
Investigators say surveillance video shows the suspect in a two-toned green Subaru Outback.
Anyone with information on the incidents was asked to call the Metro Arson Strike Team at (619) 236-6815 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers offers up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
