San Diego police are asking for the public’s help to find two people who burglarized cars parked at a cemetery on Veterans Day and stole credit cards they then used to buy $3,500 worth of items, officials said.
The thieves broke into three vehicles that were parked at the Miramar National Cemetery on Noble Drive around 2:20 p.m. on Nov. 11, police said. They took various items from the vehicles, including purses, and used stolen credit cards to make fraudulent purchases at a gas station and Walmart in Encinitas totaling around $3,500, according to police.
Investigators located surveillance video showing a white 2013 Lexus ES model in the area, as well as footage of two males at the Walmart and Shell station.

One suspect was described as a White male with black glasses wearing a dark-colored plaid button-up shirt and dark-colored pants. The second suspect was a White male wearing a dark-colored hat, a white long-sleeved T-shirt and dark-colored pants.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call San Diego police at (858) 523-7039 or the Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477 or visit sdcrimestoppers.org to submit a tip. A reward of up to $1,000 was being offered for information leading to an arrest.
