The Princess of Wales visited the High Down prison in Surrey to learn about how the Forward Trust charity is supporting inmates to manage and recover from their addictions.
Kate, who is patron of The Forward Trust, sat down with serving prisoners going through addiction programmes and spoke with a family who was visiting the prison to see how the organisation is making a more positive experience for children.
For the occasion, the royal donned a chic two-piece suit from Alexander McQueen which she combined with a blue top and the Gianvito 105’ Navy Suede Pumps.
For royal fans who want to recreate Kate’s look on a budget, Marks and Spencer has very similar navy suits with some retailing for just £89. Zara also has an almost identical blazer and trousers, the fitted blazer with seams with a price tag of £59.99, and the full-length flare trousers retailing for £35.99.
Fans took to social media to praise her style with many saying her hair was looking fabulous today. On Twitter, one commented: “The Princess of Wales looking absolutely stunning today!”
Kate’s hair appears wavier than usual, possibly with more volume. The Princess may have also had curtain bangs cut and some caramel highlights put in.
Another royal fan, @Sapphireblues3, said: “Hair goals!” and Twitter user @ipsiroyals opined: “Ageless beauty!”
@TribesBritannia commented: “The Princess of Wales hair! Oh my goodness!” and royal watcher Lucy Piper added: “OMG!! Just when I think she couldn’t possibly look any more amazing!!!”
@princess_kate75 was full of praise for Kate’s outfit and hair. She said: “Princess of Wales looking magnificent in that suit… love the wavy hair.”
On Instagram, @lauraeliza21_13 commented: “I love that she brought back the fringe bangs! She hasn’t had them in forever and I (a lover of bangs) think that they can be very framing for the face.”
@soumya.narayanan wants to take a leaf out of Kate’s book: “I had a hair appointment yesterday and the stylist asked if I wanted some curtain bangs. If only I had seen this yesterday. She looks so good.”
Royal fan account @forkatemiddleton said: “This is one of my favorite looks of hers this year, her hair is impeccable, I love her with bangs!”
Those who aren’t blessed with thick hair can invest in some extensions to add volume. Head to your favourite hair salon where a professional can add subtle caramel highlights too for extra dimension.
There are plenty of ways hair enthusiasts can achieve Kate’s curls, including heated and heatless methods.
Kate completed today’s look with some sweet and sentimental accessories.
