San Diego police are investigating a shooting Sunday morning in Lincoln Park that left one person dead.
The shooting was reported shortly before 9:40 a.m. on South Willie James Jones Avenue, near Lincoln High School, police said.
Police arrived to find the male victim suffering from a gunshot wound, a police sergeant said. He was taken to a hospital, but later died. It was not immediately known if the victim was an adult or a juvenile.
Police said they were looking for two men, believed to be in their early 20s, who were seen running to the west from the area near some nearby apartments. No arrests were made as of Sunday afternoon. No other information was immediately released.
