Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured a motorcyclist Saturday night.
The crash occurred near the intersection of South Rancho Santa Fe Road and Lake San Marcos Drive about 10:30 p.m. Paramedics transported the rider, who was found “down in the roadway,” to a hospital with serious injuries, sheriff’s officials said in a press release.
Investigators are asking the public for any information they may have in identifying the suspect’s vehicle, which was described as a white “newer model” sedan, possibly with damage to its driver’s side.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information that could help investigators is asked to call the San Marcos station at 760-510-5200.
