More than 150 people have commented on the £27.50 Cotton Rich Straight Leg Chinos at Marks and Spencer.
Available in six colours – from Midnight Navy to Dark Sage – and in different sizing, people are snapping up the chinos.
One satisfied customer, Yorkgirl99, wrote: “Lovely soft fabric and I like the high-rise, straight leg.
“True to size. I’m 5ft 6, and bought regular – go for long if you want to turn up the bottoms.
“I liked the sage but I actually bought black and beige to go with everything… brilliant value for money too.”
The chinos come in Midnight Navy, Black, Pearl Grey, Soft White, Beige, and Dark Sage.
Another said the chinos are a “lovely material” that is “soft” and “well made”. Sanjaline added: “Beautifully finishes. Great style. Elegant. Cannot fault.”
Valerie316 noted they are the “best chino trousers” and she is “pleased with them”.
Unfortunately, when one shopper tried to find them in-store, they weren’t available; the chinos, however, are available in a range of fits online.
Marks and Spencer (M&S) described the Cotton Rich Straight Leg Chinos as a “versatile addition to your wardrobe”.
The straight-legged chinos have a hook and bar fastening at the high waist and have two front and back pockets.
While the chinos have been a big hit for many shoppers, petite women have had a common gripe.
One posted to the M&S website stating that the legs are “too long” even when opting for the petite option.
This meant shorter women had to pay a tailor to have the trousers taken up to the correct length.
DL19 asked: “Why can’t you offer extra short?” In agreement, Sandy29 said her chinos were “too long”.
Overall, though, the chinos were reviewed to be “lovely”, “comfortable”, and “stylish”.
Marianne Lisbon added: “The material is good and so is the cut, with nice shaping around the waist.”
