Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh always looks chic and this weekend was no exception.
On Sunday September 10, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh met precious guide dog Piper who is due to retire after 10 years of service.
The official Twitter account Guide Dogs tweeted some cute snaps of the Duchess, Piper and owner Mary.
The tweet read: “Guide dog Piper, approaching his tenth birthday, is due to retire later this month. Piper and owner Mary were recently invited to Bagshot Park, Berkshire, the home of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron of Guide Dogs.”
While Piper was extremely cute, it was Duchess Sophie who stole the show in her stylish black and white dress.
The midi-dress was form-fitting, highlighting the royal’s fabulous figure. It cinched in at the waist and fell just above the ankles.
It was comprised entirely of black and white patterns and shapes, with little bits bits of baby blue and yellow for pops of colour.
The dress was structured at the top, with sharp collar and shoulder lines. However, the bottom of the skirt was floaty and pleated.
Sophie opted for dainty and simplistic pieces of jewellery, with what appeared to be a matching gold pendant and earring set featuring a silver heart.
Her makeup was the perfect daytime look, a brush of mascara, hint of blush and shimmery pink lips.
She wore her buttery blonde hair in a loose ponytail with a centre parting.
Duchess Sophie went for white Espadrille sandals which revealed a few brightly coloured toenails.
The royals typically go for nude colours when it comes to nail polish but some royals have broken tradition and rocked vibrant manis and pedis in the past – including Princess Kate with red.
Duchess Sophie went for bright orange toenails, the perfect nod to the sunny weather of recent.
Daena Borrowman, marketing manager at jewellerybox, once told Express.co.uk: “Royal women have favoured nude shades of nail paint over bright or dark nail paint. Sheer whites and light pinks have been long favoured.”
