Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying three people suspected of vandalizing a fence at a Scripps Ranch home, painting homophobic slurs over a Pride flag mural.
The vandalism, which was captured on a security camera, occurred just after 3 a.m. on Feb. 14, officials with San Diego County Crime Stoppers said in a release.
Three people arrived at the residence and spray-painted anti-LGBTQ slurs on the fence. A sign reading “Hate Has No Home Here” was also removed from the area but later recovered.

Security camera footage shows one person walking up to the fence with a face covering and spray-painting something hastily. Another person with a face covering does the same before another subject appears to notice the camera, climbs on top of the fence, stares briefly into the lens and appears to dislodge the camera.
The camera was stolen, officials said.
The suspects, possibly males in their teens or twenties, were reportedly seen fleeing northbound on Semillon Boulevard.
Officials said the Valentine’s Day incident was not the first time the fence had been targeted by vandalism.
According to 10News, the fence, belonging to Brittany Fuller, had been defaced more than 20 times with paint, food and other methods.
Fuller told the news station that the vandalism was “frustrating” but said she “will continue to spread love regardless” and plans to repaint the fence.
