The Hollywood legend has died at age 65 after tenaciously battling health problems, including throat cancer, which he recovered from a decade ago. Val Kilmer, one of the biggest stars of the 1980s and 1990s, portrayed Jim Morrison in The Doors and was a one-time Dark Knight in Batman Forever. Famously, he reprised his role of Iceman in Top Gun: Maverick in an emotional reunion with Tom Cruise, despite tracheotomy surgery’s impact on his vocal cords. However, the feel-good blockbuster missed out on No 1 in the Top 10 Val Kilmer movies as ranked by film fans on IMDb.
10. Kill the Irishman (2011)
Easily the least well-known film on the list, but it’s knocked Batman out of the Top 10, is this gangster biopic based on the real-life Irish American mobster Danny Greene, played by the late Ray Stevenson. Set in the early 1960s, Kilmer plays Detective Joe Manditski, who’s determined to bring him to justice.
