Two people are dead in a shooting that took place Saturday afternoon at an apartment complex near El Cajon, said the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
Calls to 9-1-1 about a shooting started coming in around 12:43 p.m. at the Park Pointe apartment complex in unincorporated San Diego County near El Cajon, sheriff’s Lt. Matthew Carpenter said.
The shooting took place at the 676-unit apartment complex off of Hilton Head Place near Hilton Head County Park.
A man was found dead at the scene of gunshot wounds, and a woman, in the same apartment, was also found with gunshot wounds and later died at a local hospital.
Carpenter said there are no suspects, but the Homicide Unit is investigating.
