The northern portion of UC San Diego was locked down Friday morning while police searched for a person after a Crime Stoppers report, a school spokesperson said.
At about 11:30 a.m., the school posted on X the following message: “Police Emergency at RIMAC/Liontree: Possible Armed Suspect. Avoid North Campus. Lock doors and stay inside. UCSD responders on scene. More information to follow as it becomes available.”
Students, staff and faculty were asked to stay indoors as police searched for the suspect. The spokesperson did not identify the suspect.
