A man who was shot and killed inside a vehicle in Ramona earlier this week was identified by the Sheriff’s Department Friday as 35-year-old Angel Jauregui.
Jauregui, who lived in Ramona, died at a hospital.
A resident in the area of state Route 78 and Haverford Road called sheriff’s dispatch around 11:24 p.m. Tuesday and said she heard multiple gunshots, said homicide Lt. Joseph Jarjura.
Deputies responded to the intersection and found Jauregui suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the lieutenant said.
The circumstances of the shooting were still under investigation, and there was no suspect information, Jarjura said.
