San Diego County will be dry and significantly warmer through late next week as Pacific storms stay far to the north, the National Weather Service says.
The daytime high in San Diego on Thursday — the final day of November — was 64 degrees. That was the lowest high of the month. The average temperature in San Diego in November was 61.8, nearly one degree below average.
The relatively cool number was influenced by the modest storm that moved through the county on Wednesday and Thursday. The weather service says the system dropped 1.45 inches of rain in Julian and 0.63 inches in Ramona, but just 0.33 inches at San Diego International Airport.
The county began to turn warmer on Friday. San Diego’s daytime high is expected to reach 68 — the seasonal average — on Saturday, 69 on Sunday, 71 on Monday, 74 on Tuesday and 75 on Wednesday. The warmup will be stoked, in part, by mild Santa Ana winds.
Forecasters say skies will clear on Monday, which means people should be able to see the International Space Station pass overhead. The outpost will be visible for four minutes, starting at 5:50 p.m. It will initially appear 10 degrees above the north-northwest horizon.
The station’s current crew includes flight engineer Jasmin Moghbeli, a Marine pilot whose career has included service at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and Camp Pendleton.
