Wizz Air is adding two new flights to its offering including a service to a popular European capital city.
The airline is to begin flights from London Gatwick to Warsaw Chopin Airport in Poland with fares starting at £35.99. The first flight will depart on August 2.
The group already offers flights from London Luton to Warsaw, and you can also get direct flights from London Heathrow with other providers.
Wizz Air has also announced it is launching the first direct flight from London Gatwick to Medina in Saudi Arabia, with fares starting at £233.99.
This service will also start in the summer with the first flight on August 1. Wizz Air operates some 100 routes across the Middle East, with a base in Abu Dhabi.
Marion Geoffroy, managing director at Wizz Air UK, said: “We are delighted to announce this new route from London Gatwick to Medina.
“It is an important milestone for the airline, as we continue to widen our network from the UK beyond Europe. We strive to make flying as accessible as possible, and this new direct route will give thousands of travellers the chance to connect with a city rich in culture and history, for an affordable price.
“We are proud to be the airline that connects iconic cities around the world, and we look forward to providing even more opportunities for travel in the future.”
Wizz Air is also adding to its fleet the Airbus A321 XLR, a new 244-seat aircraft designed for long-haul flights. Its first flight will be a London Gatwick to Jeddah service on March 31.
Both the London Gatwick to Medina and the London Gatwick to Warsaw routes will run as a daily service.
The news comes after EasyJet announced it is to cancel flights from two UK airports to a European destination next month.
Travellers will no longer be able to fly with the budget airline to Paris Orly, from Bristol or Manchester, from March 28.
You will still be able to fly with EasyJet from Bristol and Manchester to Paris Charles de Gaulle, with daily flights available.
Nonetheless, the airline is also adding to its flights to the French capital from next month, adding twice-weekly flights from Southampton to Paris from March 31.
