Claire McCann, 27, was able to make around $22,500, the equivalent of over £18,000, thanks to her side hustle.
The school psychologist from San Francisco, California has been able to make this amount in less than nine months.
This is thanks to her side hustle in flipping furniture for profit online which has turned out to be very lucrative.
With her love of furniture design and style, this additional income stream came naturally to Claire.
The entrepreneur broke down the numbers in terms of how much she has been able to make.

She explained: “In nine months I’ve spent $44,000 (£35,400.20) and sold $68,000 (£54,709.40) worth – so my actual profit after paying for gas and on-demand pick-up service is $22,500 (£18,102.38).
“The biggest impact for me is it’s allowed me to pay off some student loans. But further than that it’s just impacted my confidence and I’ve surprised myself. I never thought I’d be able to do anything like this.
“It felt so great to be able enjoy and treat myself in things that were important for me, but my big target was empowering women that they can have more control and more financial freedom.
“I’ve made so many mistakes along the way and I’ve lost money on things that I definitely thought would sell. It was a lot of trial and error.”

The entrepreneur shared how she goes out of her way to find “trendy and stylish” pieces which will do well online.
As well as this, Claire cited how websites like Craigslist have been useful tools for her in growing her side hustle.
She is able to find the most interesting and unique items on these second-hand sites which will later turn a profit.
Due to the nature of her side hustle, Claire is forced to spend a great deal of her time hunting for deals online.
The businesswoman added: “I wake up at 6:50am and see if I have messages from potential buyers.
“I spend about an hour seeing what’s been posted overnight. I go to work and then on my lunch-break I keep searching for stuff.
“And then after work, I go back and answer questions for people and look at what’s trending. I probably spend about five or six hours a day on this.
“You can do it as you’re watching TV, it’s not like having a side hustle like delivering stuff.”
Examples of the types of items Claire has been able to flip to make a greater profit include a West Elm leather recliner which was bought for $250 (£201.14) and sold for $750 (£603.41).
Furthermore, a $650 (£522.96) West Elm media console was purchased for $1,700 (£1,367.73), while two grey lounge chairs for $625 (£502.84) were sold for $1,300 (£1,045.91).
On top of this, Claire bought a yellow joybird couch for $400 (£321.82) but sold it for $1,000 (£804.55).
A desk she purchased for $100 (£80.45) was later sold for $350 (£281.59) and the side hustler’s first flip was for a $65 (£52.30) table and chair set which was bought for $300 (£241.37).
