A woman was allegedly run over by her boyfriend in her car, and her ex-boyfriend was shot and wounded in the collarbone in the Ocean Beach Pier parking lot Wednesday night, San Diego police said.
About 9 p.m., the couple argued, and the ex-boyfriend tried to mediate, said Officer John Buttle.
“The man got into his girlfriend’s car, put it in reverse and ran over his girlfriend,” Buttle said. “Shortly after two gunshots were heard.”
The ex-boyfriend drove to Bacon Street and Brighton Avenue, where police were notified of a shooting victim, the officer said. The man had a gunshot wound to the collarbone, and two bullet holes were found in the car.
Police responded to both locations. No gun was located.
Both victims were taken to a hospital with injuries not considered to be life threatening.
