Young Thug’s legal team has asked the court to grant him bond for the fourth time. His attorney Brian Steel says his client is “languishing in the County Jail,” according to a recently-filed motion.
In the motion, filed on April 24 and obtained by 11Alive, Steel says Thugger cannot stay healthy and noted that his client has limited healthy food options.
Attorney: Young Thug Can’t Eat Healthy Food And Gets Little Fresh Air Or Sunlight
He claims the rapper relies on food with “zero health benefits,” like chocolate and chips.
In addition, he says the rapper has had little access to fresh air and sunlight since May 2022. The only exception is when he’s transported to and from the courthouse. Exercise, too, is limited due to his small jail cell.

Steel went on to claim that the rapper is constantly “sleep-deprived” due to only getting five hours of sleep every night, and when he has court appearances, he has to wake up by 3 or 4 A.M., the outlet reports.
Conditions Have Left Thugger Unable To Pay Attention To His Case Properly
His attorney added that the conditions have left Thugger unable to pay attention and stay on top of his case.
“By the end of the week, Mr. Williams is fighting to pay attention to the goings on in his case,” Steel said in the motion.
Steel ultimately requested that the court consider granting Williams bond and that “conditions can be imposed which permit bond to be set,” according to 11Alive.
Thugger, legal name Jeffery Williams, has remained in custody since he was arrested and indicted on charges accusing him of leading the “Young Slime Life” gang. The alleged gang reportedly claims affiliation with the Bloods.
The Case: A Brief Retrospect As First Anniversary Of Original Indictment Nears
Thug is facing a gang activity charge from 2018 along with a 2013 charge of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO Act).
Thug has maintained his innocence throughout the trial, plagued by several issues since the start. That includes the arrest of a lawyer, Anastassios Manettas, who represents another defendant in the case.
The jury selection in the YSL RICO trial is now heading into its fifth month of proceedings.
Meanwhile, next month will mark one year since prosecutors handed down the original indictment claiming YSL committed nearly 200 criminal acts in its capacity as a street gang.
The YSL RICO trial is on track to shatter records as the longest criminal trial in Fulton County history, 11Alive reports.
